MIXED USE
o Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail, Atlanta, GA. Principal Engineer of Record for the design of the 2.25-mile Eastside Trail including a 14-foot wide concrete pedestrian and bike path and corridor for future light rail transit. The project included multiple retaining structures, slope stability studies, new bridge foundation design supported by rock supported footings with uplift anchors and augercast piles. Slope failures during construction required analyses and remediation recommendations. Buried ravines under retaining walls ultimately required aggregate pier support saving the owner considerably over measures recommended by the contractor.
o Atlanta Beltline SW Corridor, Atlanta, GA. Principal Engineer of Record for the geotechnical design of a 4-mile corridor for pedestrian, bike and future light rail transit. Project included over 70 soil test borings, test pits, multiple retaining structures, new bridges, slope stability studies, slope failure remediation and pavement design.
o GM Doraville Plant, Doraville, GA. Performed preliminary geotechnical exploration for mixed use redevelopment of 160-acre GM Plant in Doraville. Studies included soil test borings throughout the site for future development including a tunnel under the existing MARTA station on the east side of the site and preliminary recommendations for foundations and retaining structure design.
o Ford Plant, Hapeville, GA. Performed geotechnical explorations and historical research associated with the redevelopment of the previous Ford Assembly Plant into mixed use development including the current North American headquarters of Porsche and future other new developments.
