HEALTHCARE

o    Crawford Long Hospital Redevelopment, Atlanta, GA. Conducted geotechnical exploration for the reconstruction of Crawford Long Hospital (now Emory Hospital Midtown).  New construction included a 500,000 square foot Diagnostics and Treatment Facility, 18-story Medical Office Building and associated parking decks. The structures were founded on augercast piles up to 100 feet long.  Analysis also included lateral earth pressures on below grade structures and groundwater impact during construction.

o    San Juan VA Hospital New Patient Building, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Responsible for providing overall management and direction of geotechnical services for new patient bed building addition to existing San Juan Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Puerto Rico.  Consulting (calculation) services provided for proposed cast-in-place pile foundations.
